Who am I?
A retired university professor who works with people to design pieces of hand-made fine cherry or walnut furniture to their liking —
or oak for utilitarian or informal pieces. More than 25 years of experience.
What are my specialties?
Hand-made cherry or walnut reproductions of early American originals (e.g. Shaker styles). But I gladly help customers refine design preferences of their own: and I look for ways of involving them in the furniture-designing and building process.
I confess to a special fondness for tables: drop-leaf harvest tables, end tables, coffee tables, hall tables, bedside tables, desks, tilt-top chair tables, and work tables of all kinds. Also blanket chests, plant stands, cabinets, entertainment centers, bookcases, benches, step stools, and almost anything made out of wood, except chairs.
Prices:
modest, individually negotiated.
Call me, and let us talk about your ideas or arrange a visit.
